The use of wind power is growing rapidly because it is abundant, cheap,
inexhaustible, widely distributed, clean, and climate-friendly.

There is enough power in the wind across the earth's six continents to supply
four times the world's energy needs. Today, wind power already supplies
electricity to around 14 million households. That's more than 35 million
people.

In the U.S.A. it
is now cheaper to buy wind-power in the states of Texas and Colorado than it
is to buy power produced form coal or natural gas.

Spain now generates more electricity from wind turbines than from any other
source (27% of total).

The United Kingdom will get half of its electrical energy needs from wind by
2020.
