Alicia Zhou, 23 years old, Chinese (China)

Alicia is the winner of Women in Business Entrepreneur of the Year 2011, presented by Ernst&Young in Beijing.

She created her own company,
ET-Gate Trade Solutions, in 2008 in Hong-Kong, which mainly focuses on providing trading solutions and sourcing to foreign companies.

She started alone, but within 6 months was able to create a multicultural team.
Her team has successfully built up on time to support efficiently customers from Europe, Africa and America.
The company became an exclusive representative of several foreign brands that have now a stable position in China.
These cooperations allowed her company to grow and hire new employees.

However, the beginning was difficult. She had set her goal to overcome difficulties within a year time.
