Young Women Entrepreneurs Association is an international not-for-profit organization with the aim of accelerating the growth and internationalization of young women-owned companies as well as supporting women who want to start own business creating new opportunites.
We facilitate the creation of new businesses, cross-border and cross-industry partnerships between young female entrepreneurs as well as connect Corporates with the young women entrepreneurs around the world.
Women entrepreneurs, especially young, face many challenges to internationalization and participation in the global economy. Various studies carried out in different countries point limited involvement of women entrepreneurs in internationalization of their businesses, including such forms of international co-operation as: foreign direct investment, joint ventures, strategic alliances.
The advance of new technologies offers new opportunities for internationalization and globalization process. It is important to obtain a better understanding of these issues. It is crucial to raise questions and stimulate discussion. This is where YWEA come in.
We stimulate excellence and innovation, international exchanges, cross-border and cross-industry partnerships as well as sharing of best practices and success stories among young women around the world.
Our purpose is to promote the entrepreneurial culture that incorporates individual, social & cultural and economic aspects. In fact, it is not only about business. It is also about discovering many dimensions of being a great entrepreneur. We promote this entrepreneurial spirit also within corporate environments (manager-entrepreneur). Together with the most relevant entrepreneurs we explore the meaning of entrepreneurship and the new frontiers of leadership.
We study multicultural interactions and their impact on innovation, internationalization and business development because understanding other cultures is a key to successful business relations.
A country and culture we live in have a strong influence on our perception of entrepreneurship and on being an entrepreneur. We promote a cross-cultural project to compare different cultures and business models that young women face in various countries in order to analyze their impact on women’s professional decisions.
Two women in two different countries will have different perceptions on the same barrier and thus different approaches and solutions to it and that is why we promote research and studies on the matter.
We inspire young women to change their perspectives on their personal and professional possibilities and opportunities. We give a voice to ideas and real-life stories from around the world that might have never been shared. We believe that real-life stories have the power to inspire us and always make us think. We are a platform for cross-cultural dialogue.
